The Big Sports quiz: Boys V Girls

To celebrate the beginning of the olympics, televised on the 26th July was The Big Sports quiz: Boys V Girls hosted by the lovely Stephen Mulhern, looking very sexy in his blue suit and silver tie!! <3 What a way to kick off the olympics!!

A team of Boys - Paddy McGuinness, Joe Hart, Kriss Akabusi and Mark Foster were put head to head against a team of girls - Charlotte Jackson, Amy Williams, Karen Pickering and Louise Hazel, in an epic battle of sports knowledge and exciting games to see who would come out on top in the world of sport!! But who do u think will take the crown, Girls or Boys??

Round one consisted of a quick fire sporting questions round against the clock for each of the teams, followed by the best bit of the whole show, 'Calendar boys', where the teams had to 'uncover the owner of various lunchboxes'. The face of the sporting body was covered up by a picture of Stephen's face, much to the delight of all us Mulhernettes ;) Can you work out who's lunchbox belongs to which sporting personality?

We are then treated to a full on head to head race between Paddy and Charlotte right through the studios, the corrie set up to the rovers return. On their way they encounter some obstacles which is highly amusing.

Next up is 'What a load of balls' where sporting legends have been quoted in papers giving excuses for poor performances in their sporting careers, and our teams have to fill in the blanks.

The boys team then select from the hall of fame for their next round where they have to spot the 10 differences in 2 similar video clips which are played to them. Both clips are highly amusing.

In the girls Hall of fame round Karen and Louise are asked to select which sporting champions eat what for breakfast? They did this by moving the champions in front of different plates of food. For a bonus point, the girls have to name one ingredient that Stephen has in his breakfast by drinking from his blended up breakfast shake ;)

Other question rounds included a guest appearance video clip from the Loose Women, where they'd describe a sporting person and the teams would have to guess who they were talking about. A true or false question round for both teams, very funny with even more inuendos from all sides, terrible I tells ya ;) A Close up picture round where teams would have to guess who was in the picture which was zoomed in on.

And finally the decider... A back to back squat off in squatters rights!! Paddy and Mark from the boys team went up against Charlotte and Amy from the girls to see which team would last the longest in the squat off!! Which team would you expect to win??

So all in all, another very entertaining show from The Big Quiz series, and of course our favourite fella!! Fingers crossed there will be more of these filmed! Keeping our eyes peeled on it for you, so as soon as we know, you shall too!!

The Big Quiz! Benidorm V The only way is Essex!!

The show we've all been waiting for, well us at Team Mullers have... The big quiz hosted by our favourite fella, Mr Stephen Mulhern, who was looking lovely as always in a grey 3 piece suit and a lovely metalic blue/green tie... I do love his ties ;)

Teams from Benidorm and the Only way is Essex were put head to head in the battle of the shows to see which have most knowledge about their own and the other teams shows.

On the Benidorm team was Jake Canuso (Mateo), Crissy Rock, Janine Duvitski (Jacqueline); Stephen had trouble pronouncing her last name at the filming and Shelley Longworthin (Sam). For Essex, Joey Essex, Lauren Goodger, James 'Arg' Argent and Gemma Collins.

When televised last night, the show was cut short due to football over running, however the full uncut version can be seen on ITV player.

Teams were shown clips from their shows and in different rounds they were asked to guess what happens next in their opposing teams show? Essex have a language of their own and Ruth and Eamonn from This Morning would say what an 'Essex term' meant and Benidorm would have to guess which meaning was correct! Guess which character was in close ups of amusing pictures and had Jacquline said 'Oh yes' more times than Amy Childs had said 'Shut up'??

Essex were also shown clips of Benidorm where Donald was helping Jacqueline answer crosswords, and they'd have to guess the answer Donald gave, here we discover Joey Essex didn't know what a scrotum was, which Stephen then had to explain 'Your scrotum is your sack' Classic!!

Games were also played including ...

-Guest star Nanny Pat from Essex had to help Joey place cast members in order of hotness in 'Mirror Mirror on the wall, who's the Reemest of them all' Joey then had to place himself in the lineup! Afterwards when Arg gives a go at guessing the reemest of them all, he is 100% correct.

After this Stephen then cuts to a break saying the Winning team would be taken to a private room where he would vajazzle them all personally, then saying that there wasn't much to play for then... We'd have to disagree with him on that one though!! ;)

-Arg's Cardioke involved Arg having to run on a treadmill whilst singing 'Thats Amoré' by Dean Martin. The audience all joined in singing and swaying their arms, a great atmosphere and the funniest part of the show. Stephen's laugh was so cute.

-An arm wrestle between Gemma and Crissy, girl on girl action as Stephen put it. Who do you think will win?? Crissy was very funny in this, claiming that her arm was about to fall off!!

So all in all, a show not for the faint hearted as it included lots of inuendos which will leave you crying with laughter!!

After seeing the show televised I feel even more lucky and honoured to have been in the audience for such a great programme, even did some crowd spotting ;) Hopefully ITV producers will keep filming these shows, I can't honestly think of a better host for them.

The show will be repeated on ITV1 on Tuesday 17th April at 10:35 PM!! Not to be missed!!

Stephen to film 2 new TV shows

After The Big Quiz: Coronation Street Vs Emerdale was a huge success, Stephen Mulhern is now set to film 2 more Big quiz shows.

He will be hosting the quiz between Benidorm and The only way is essex and also a Sports quiz: Boys Vs girls. Not sure when both will be televised but when we find out we'll let you know. Who do you think will win??

well done stephen on the big quiz

Well we have just watched our lovely boss Mr Mulhern host The Big Quiz: Corrie v Emmerdale.
Stephen looked amazing in his new suit designed by @suitthecity and I'm sure you will agree they did a fab job.

On the corrie side there was Jack P Shepherd who plays David Platt, Jennie Mcalpine who plays Fiz, Pattie Clare who plays Mary and lastly Malcom Hebden who plays Norris.
On the Emmerdale side there was Danny Miller who plays Aaron, Mark Charnock who plays Marlon, Natalie Anderson who plays Alicia and lastly Meg Johnson who plays Pearl.
Some of the games that were played were Danny and Mark were blindfolded and had to touch the special guest who was Andy Devine who plays Shadrach. Jennie and Malcom had to put rovers return barmaid in the order of who was first and then had to place Samia Smith who plays Maria into when she was barmaid. Another game was between who would cry first between Jack and Natalie, during the game when the lights went down Stephen looked AMAZING. The rest of the games were they were shown clips. The winner was Corrie. The show was fab and Stephen was the perfect choice to host. Fingers crossed they do another big quiz soap special. A massive well done to the Corrie team the Emmerdale team the production and of course  the Host with most the beatuful Stephen for a fantastic show.

The Big Quiz! Corrie V Emmerdale

In our last blog we mentioned about the Corrie V Emmerdale Christmas special quiz hosted by none other than Stephen Mulhern!! This is to be aired on ITV1 at 9PM on the 16th December!!

Being in the Audience, I can assure you that you are in for a real treat, Lots of laughs and Stephen did an Amazing job as host, looked stunning too in his new suit!! 

The two teams are made up of 4 characters from each of the soaps who go head to head answering questions about their year in soapland and playing games to score points for their team!!

So who do you want to be the winners of the head to head battle between Corrie and Emmerdale??

Corrie V Emmerdale

Stephen is going to be hosting a one off quiz show where stars of Corrie and Emmerdale go head to head in a quiz about the soaps events of the year!! The show will be aired sometime over Christmas!

It will be filmed in Manchester on the 5th December and audience tickets can be applied for HERE
